Taking Time Out

Dear O'H dear and Lovely Tea Jenny,

The Prince and I went on a date tonight to The Witchery as The Prince’s parents had very generously given us a voucher for our birthdays.

The restaurant and the staff are lovely although it is overpriced for the quality of the food and I think I would have grudged it if it hadn’t been a gift. We both laughed at my tomato starter which was genuinely just a tomato, chopped into 8 pieces on a blob of mascarpone!

I did ask The Prince half way through the starter if he had seen the 70s porn star sitting a couple of tables away. This dude was rocking a head of huge, full on curly hair and a tache that would have made Tom Selleck jealous! He even had the tufts of chest hair peeking out of his v-neck shirt!

We just stayed in the restaurant all night which was lovely. Socially, it feels like it’s been a busy year and we have gotten out of the habit at having nights out for just us.

It’s good to have a reminder to do it more often.
