Christmassy

Today as been very festive! I don't feel festive yet, but its been a wonderful festive day. We started out that Katie helped granny decorate their Christmas tree. She was very keen to be the one to put the angel on the tree, and did so.

We then spent a lovely few hours with Vic, wildthingsma and their children. The children played, we all ate a very yummy buffet, gifts were exchanged (but not unwrapped yet!) and New Guinea pig babies were played with, a good time for all.

We moved on to spent an hour or so with my friends Vicki and Stuart. Gifts were exchanged and this time opened. Katie had fun playing with the rather fab jigsaw and book set that she had been bought.

After theirs, we went back to grandads and had tea- uncle Simon had joined them! We all headed out for a carol service at my aunt and uncles church. Katie joined in every verse of "away in a manger" and made up her own words to a few of the other carols. Refreshments (including mulled wine and hot mince pies), catch up with the cousins rounded off the day wonderfully. I wasn't in the slightest surprised when Katie was very quickly deep asleep in the wrap.
