An Elfie Selfie

We set off a little later than planned this morning, but the traffic was amazing - we flew round the M25 with no holdups, the same on the M40 and we even opted to just go straight ontoo the M6, avoiding the M6 toll.

We had a pitstop and a picnic at Sandbach services and then carried on our way. We arrived at our Airbnb cottage at 12.30 pm after passing a major pile up on the South bound carriage - there were 6 cars and a truck involved so we’re hoping everyone’s ok!

We’ve rented a cottage at an equestrian centre, equally distanced between mum and the girls as well as Alan’s parents. It’s very cosy and the best is that it’s dog friendly so the boys are here with us too. They’ve travelled so well and have been really good since we arrived, of course everything’s had a good sniff!

We’re now unpacked, the Christmas tree’s up (yes I’ve brought a tree with us), and Alan’s been out and bought logs for the log burner. We’re currently on the cheese and wine and we’ve got homemade curry for later.

Oh and yes, I had to have an Elfie Selfie with my boys - well, two of them, but It’s kind of appropriate as we’re just watching Elf ;-)
