Another Successful Catch

I had every intention of going out to my favorite garden, and snapping away at the flowers. And...snap I did. Cacti...fruit trees...and the inhabitants of the flowers and trees.

But then...but then...2 women were feeding the turtles at the pond. I tried...but I just can't resist the little snowy egrets that "fish" at the pond. One lady was feeding, and the other was both feeding, and taking pictures.

I checked out her "equipment." Since she was using a Nikon...I refused to talk to her. She asked..."What settings are you using?" Speechless. "How big of a lens is that?" Nothing. "How much light you think we have left?" Silence. "What's the matter...egret got your tongue?" Didn't even smile.

Finally the food ran out, and all 3 of us left. On my FLICKR PAGE are more egrets, some flowers, and a "dancing" big blue heron. The heron just barely got "beaked out" for the blip.

Spent the morning hittin garage sales with our neighbor Faye. She's quite a little shopper. At the last sale...with just an hour left of the sale...they started selling all their books for a nickel. WOO-HOO!! (I'm not ready to join the e-reader set.) If I can't bend the page back to mark my spot...I ain't readin it.

Let's see if this works...(I've been having troubles.) Put it into large...to see the poor fish. I like the water reflections on the inside of her wings.
