Diary of an Edinburgher

Town Trip Twice!

A bit of a disaster last night - the dish washer refused to dish wash. But this morning, JR got the manual out, and fiddled about a bit, and got it going again! Yay.

When Archie had gone out with Robert, we popped round to the charity shop with a few more bits and bobs, and then I popped down to the shoe shop to return the second pair that I had home to try, and to pick up a half size larger that I had ordered online.

Would you know it - I had to queue up to get in. There were only about three people in the (quite large) shop! When I eventually got in, I asked why and it was because they didn’t have enough staff to ‘wipe down the seats each time’. Seems a bit over-cautious. And anyway, after all that, the next sized shoes had not arrived.

Back home in time for Robert’s return, and to find out how his week has gone. JR went off to a midday gym session, because one of her group can’t make it in the mornings.

I then got a text from my cousin in Glasgow asking if I could go and get porridge sachets for Uncle A. They went shopping yesterday, but forgot this most essential item. Uncle A was most grateful, as he likes to start each day with his porridge.

I then got a message to say that the shoes had arrived. So I popped back down, and - joy of joys - a bus arrived at the stop at the same time as I did. Both ways! I LOVE that. (But after a brief try on - they’re going back.)

We’ve almost decided on an alternative cruise to our cancelled Norwegian one - for next year.
