Waiting for the van

We have two posties that arrive in a hired van most days and split the loads to deliver. Today the van disappeared mid delivery for more parcels and left this lad waiting on the pavement. 

It has been warm again today and we only had a brief shower late afternoon. We had our usual walk by the canal and were surprised at the quantity of duckweed in there. It has increased dramatically in the last 48hrs. The swans were certainly enjoying ‘hoovering’ it up. Whist we were watching one of the new passenger trains came by.
