Body Talk
Spotted this when driving home from the gym, and just had to jog back later on to grab a photo. Not sure whether it’s meant to scare people off from robbing the skip - the fact it’s securely attached with tie wraps suggest it is a deliberate placement and they don’t want to risk it going missing. Maybe the only reason it is there is to raise a smile. Well, job done. And, let’s face it, we all need as many smiles as possible in these uncertain times.
Apart from that, it’s been a quiet day today in contrast to all the work going on yesterday. We did manage to fit in a visit to the gym, but that’s it apart from some cleaning of windows in anticipation of the blinds and curtain poles arriving tomorrow. Panto rehearsal later, which is unusual for a Thursday, but we can’t get on the stage on our usual Wednesday nights so have had to switch due to the short amount of time left before opening night.
It’s been a bit of a shock to the system using the new lights today. After 6 weeks of low wattage energy saving bulbs just hanging from the ceiling, it all seems incredibly bright when multiple LED bulbs spring into life simultaneously. No doubt we’ll get used to it in time. With only a week to go until the carpets are due to be fitted, it really feels like the finishing line is definitely in sight. So I’m keeping everything crossed that there are no major covid outbreaks, supply chain shortages or snowstorms in the next seven days. The first two are possible, though unlikely to disrupt things in that short a timescale. But the 60% chance of snow forecast for next Friday could definitely put the kibosh on things as it’s a very steep road up to our house…
