Ultimate Family Day

It was a tight fit but Clare and I were woken at 6:30 by a 27kg Staffie/Lab Cross along with a 2m+ young man launching themselves onto the bed with their stockings, yes Paddy had one, and ours, Sam wisely kept to her room.
Stockings contain small anonymous gifts to whet the appetite until the afternoon.
A breakfast of coffee and toast and then I started cooking. it’s always fun and as everything is pre-prepared no real hardship. We ate a leisurely lunch, lots of it as usual, a glass of wine or two and desserts to come later.
As always we adjourned to the lounge and the gifts beneath the tree. As tradition dictates the oldest male Stevens present passes the gifts with the recipient acknowledging the giver.
Everyone seemed happy, I’m hoping on of the children will assist Mrs S with her trail camera.
Christmas Day or not Paddy still needs a walk, I took these two photographs when I was out with him during the week.
Amazing what new things you notice when you take a different route.
Long time for a parish priest to spend at one church.

A really good day, relaxing with family
