Diary of an Edinburgher

More cleaning…

The spring cleaning continued today, with the next shelf. More exciting finds! Well, not more exciting, just more of them… including what must have been one of the original juicing contraptions, which has a Kiwi plug on it (ie we had it at least 22 years ago in NZ).

I took Archie out for a dander. Just the usual route, not too far, along the Meadows, up the lane, round the graveyard. 4043 steps, which was quite enough for me. (I had several sit downs). I could have added a few hundred more steps had I gone to the bao buns shop…

I got quite a bit of my never-ending audiobook listened to (At Home, Bill Bryson) which is really interesting and full of fascinating facts, none of which I can think of to quote here now. At least when I’m walking and listening, I can’t doze off.

Still testing negative - or is it positive? Whatever - all OK. In fact, Hazel, who has been also been lying low and testing daily since returning from London, is popping over for a coffee tomorrow. Our Dear Leader really should think about reducing the isolation time to 7 days instead of 10. But NO! She likes to be different from the rest of the UK.
