Rainy Day, Lazy Day

We had better weather than forecast. It was windy and rainy all day (but no sleet or snow) and that provided the perfect excuse to sit back and chill. Hubby strummed his mandolin, read, napped and repeated same. I made some tasty ham, potato and corn soup with accompanying appetizers that received rave reviews. Otherwise, I read, tried getting crisp bird photos (with no success) and napped in continuing cycles. Our cousin found “scrubby yarn” and my sister picked up the specialty hook so our mother could crochet pot scrubbers for everyone. She read or napped when she needed a break. My sister and BIL fooled around and napped as well. BIL made our favorite baked fish for dinner so our day is complete. More reading on the agenda. Thanks for stopping by. Sure hope you had a wonderful Easter weekend. We get limited news here, mostly local sports so we have no idea what is happening in Eastern Europe or the rest of the world for that matter. This farm provides genuine R&R. “If I were able to leave you with only one piece of crochet advice, it would be to always have fun, learn the basics, but then just go crazy with your creative self.” - Twinkie Chan
