Fancy broom

It was another grey morning with intermittent heavy rain, meaning I was in and out with the washing.

After lunch things brightened up so I walked via Whitton to take Pat’s book back. I can’t go to book group next week and neither can Shona who is still in the south looking after her grandchild while the mother is in hospital with a difficult pregnancy.

This broom in Pat’s garden took my eye.

I am cooking with fridge slurry tonight - left over pie, salad, and a potato salad with radishes and a wasabi dressing. I made a clafoutis with rhubarb from the garden and put some elderflower cordial in it. You’d never know. The washing is finally dry.
