Fortnum and Mason lights

Today I went up to London this afternoon and as I wanted to see some of the ‘lights’ I took the 139 bus from Waterloo to Piccadilly. This is the outside of Fortnum and Mason, a sort of Advent calendar.  I did pop in one door and out of another as it was so so crowded and queues at the tills to pay too so no point even having a browse.   I was actually surprised at how many people there were everywhere. There were a lot of foreign languages being spoken, I think the exchange rate will mean that visiting tourists get a good deal and are shopping lots!
I also went up New Bond Street…see extras - Tiffany, Cartier, Dior and Louis Vuitton. The latter has masses of Lego in all its window displays…bizarre.
I also went via South Morton Street ( the same big blue arches as in previous years) to see the Selfridges windows but was not that impressed by any of those. Oxford St was also very busy.
We had dinner with a friend in a restaurant in Wigmore Street and then I went back via Regent Street on the 139 again which made very slow progress as there seemed to be lots of traffic.

So I came home without buying anything but walked about 7 miles today!
