Roses
The day started a bit grey but as I drove to Tooting the skies cleared and the sun came out. No.1 was having a slow start but had a busy weekend and tiredness was continuing to take its toll. We sat in the kitchen and chatted and tears were very near the surface.
However we decided to get going and enjoy the sunshine so put the Budha Bowl I had made into transportable boxes and drove to Morden Hall for a walk in the sunshine. We found a bench and ate our lunch (No.1 only managed half hers, saving it for later - or to put in the bin?!). I had also taken a blanket and we laid in the sun for a while soaking up the rays.
Home via Lidl for groceries and then back to sort through the bits I had bought from Next for her to try on. (Not so much 'Meals on wheels' but 'wardrobe on wheels'. She looked gorgeous and has kept some bits and other bits will go back. Cousin L was coming for dinner and No.1 wanted me to stay but I was not really hungry and thought it would be good for them to have some time to chat. I drove home and the traffic was easy - just in time for News at Ten, a cup of tea and two digestive biscuits.
I love spending time with No.1 but just wish it was different circumstances and always bitter sweet as I love our time together but hate to see everything she is going through. Sad times but determined to continue with positivity and taking a day as it comes.
