The rhododendrons are starting to bloom. It may not be a good year for the rhododendrons because of the polar vortex we had in early February. Many of the buds were damaged.
Record breaking temperatures today!! The gauge in my truck said it was 35 C outside. I kept the air conditioning going when I was driving.
I had errands to do this afternoon after we finished working and a quote booked for tonight. When I was in the grocery store I picked up a chicken strip meal at the deli. When I got home about 15 minutes later the chicken strips were so dry I couldn't eat them. About a month ago I bought a piece of pizza from the same store and it was dried out too. I called the store and complained this time. The manager tried to offer me a free meal, but I told her no, I want my money back.
The rain is supposed to start tomorrow afternoon and it is supposed to rain for 5 days. We will see how much we actually get.
