Gardenia
Hubby had some standard coronary tests early this morning. I was getting up as he pulled back in the garage. “Everything looks fine” according to the doc. Always good to hear. Update on my daughter’s ultra high BP: she has stones in both kidneys that are consequently swollen. She saw the specialist today and they will break them up with ultrasound as soon as the swelling goes down. Her BP should go down as that mess is cleared up. All heart related tests were normal. Another relief! I made hubby and Parker French toast for breakfast. Found a recipe that suggested heavy whipping cream in place of milk. Also added .5 tsp vanilla extract. Both recipients said they were extra tasty. We really had no other pressing tasks. Hubby surprised me with a Roomba he purchased from Amazon on Prime Day (a great deal). We tried it out today and wow, it sure gets up the cat hair embedded in rugs. Think I am going to really enjoy this new toy. My gardenia bush has almost finished blooming. Even this flower is a bit past its prime. Thought I’d better blip it today or miss out altogether. On the spur of the moment, Kim and son Mancil decided to make our dinner tonight-a chicken, cheese and pasta casserole. When he dropped it off, he said he was in the mood to cook so he made us some as well. Love my family. Guess I will get in a little extra Kindle time. Hope your day has included some welcome surprises. Stay safe. Thanks for dropping by. “I love all things that are indescribable, like the taste of an avocado or the smell of a gardenia.” - Barbra Streisand
