Something about the buoy

We woke up to blue skies (which felt like a novelty after all the recent rain and greyness).  The plan had originally been to to go for a swim at Loch Migdale but ArcLight suggested that we go to Portmahamock instead and swim to "the buoy".  We did both but the later wasn't the challenge it had intended to be as the tide was far out and we could have walked most of the way. However there was plenty more sea for swimming in and we stayed in for over half an hour. Whilst we swan AlfThomas took pictures and T sat and sketched (both he and the bouy can be seen in the extra).

I could also see Dunrobin Castle across the firth as we swam which added a nice circularity to our weekend.

We then repaired to Tarbat Golf Club for (very tasty) bacon rolls and coffee.  I and T then said our good byes and headed south, stopping en-route in Inverness where I purchased a long-sleeved swim suite (yey !).

Now back home after a most enjoyable weekend.
