Leaving On A Jet Plane

Holiday got more real today when we picked up our boarding passes and flight/hotel vouchers. Three weeks tomorrow and we’ll be leaving Kendal very early to get to Manchester Airport by 5am. Hopefully all the recent Air Traffic Control problems will be a distant memory by then.
Of course, now that we’re actually close to going on holiday the weather in the U.K. has brightened up considerably. The other thing that has changed is the price of airport parking. When we looked last month, it was about £75. When we actually came to book it today, the price had shot up to £106.
The rest of the day was spent more routinely, having a haircut, defrosting the freezer and doing some shopping. Bumped into our plumber whilst we were in town. He’s been a little elusive of date but we may actually be a bit closer now to having our boiler serviced and leaky tap fixed.
