Bluejay Way

We have numerous bluejays and although we may not always see them, we can hear them. They squawk constantly in the trees or when flying overhead, plus they can’t help but announce themselves when they swoop in for a peanut fix • For years they’ve overwintered with us until suddenly last year they disappeared early November. It was strange not seeing them all winter, but then spring arrived, there they were! We’re curious what will happen this year • Every few days I’ve been filling a pocket with acorns I find outdoors, mindful to leave more than I take. I’m collecting them to share with the deer and squirrels this winter • We’ve enjoyed a quiet relaxing Sunday. Hope you’ve enjoyed the same. Here’s to a peaceful week ahead!
