Birthday candles?

As well as St Andrew’s Day, It is our daughter in law’s birthday today. We look forward to a celebratory lunch with her tomorrow in Lancaster.

These candles, part of the clear out, are, I believe, a couple of decades older than her! So we will not be using them: still handy for power cuts though.

A present to her from us was a relative of Hamish. Those who follow me met Hamish on 17 July. I acquired him on that terrific visit to Tiree which was then followed by an equally wonderful stay on Coll.

Our daughter in law fell in love with Hamish so much so I asked the glass blower to create another (as yet unnamed) version. The extra is of the two of them meeting before the newcomer was dispatched to Lancaster.
