New carseat

When Katie went from her first car seat, i took a decision on which carseat to go with, as you do. I have since decided I want her to be rear facing again and for as long as possible. we have quite a lot if big car journeys coming up so today we went and bought her new extended rear facing seat. I am thrilled with it. And she is too. She likes that she can see through the back (in her old seat she was quite low). And she looks super comfortable too. I think we will get a good three years out of it. Although I suspect for other people looking after her, the original car seat might still be needed, its no instant job!

We had a wonderful, not to plan, day. After the car seat we made a spur of the moment decision to go to waterworld as we were at monks cross in York. We had a nice cafe lunch and we all needed some swim stuff so bought a few bargains (Katie is thrilled to now have a Union Jack towel!)

Swimming was brilliant. I thought she'd be a bit timid in the fun pool but she so was not. She was swimming the wave pool fantastically, we went round te rapids together repeatedly. She even did two full lengths in the adult pool. We were in the water two hours and she didnt stop for the whole time.

We paid a visit to jeffrey and the other friends at toys r us and stopped in at mothercare. I was surprised and Katie was very pleased to find two packs of sleep suits in her size in the sale- even better that they're really fun ones. We got a quick tea before she got Ito some of her new Jammies and was asleep in seconds. The evening sun was beautifully highlighting her profile as I went to get her out the car. A lovely end to the day
