Always There Bear

Quick jaunt to Nottingham to give a lecture today. Bumped into an ex in Starbucks which was a bit awkward as he insisted on following me and chatting all the way to the lecture theatre! Shook him off in the end, only to receive a barrage of text messages beeping during my lecture! Not ideal!

Watched the film Philomena on the train back which I really enjoyed. Steve Coogan in a serious role was quite a revelation too! Have decided that trains are an ideal opportunity to catch up on films, certainly made the journey go faster.

Home to a very cuddly daughter. Think she must have missed me. She's still not 100% but definitely slighter better after a day with the Gagas.

We had a quick walk round the block then home for dinner, bath, book and bed. Bought this new book, "Always There Bear" a few weeks ago and it's become a firm bedtime favourite. She loves it. The bear looks just like her teddy bear, Charlie and I think she seeks familiarity in the same book being read every night, even though we are starting to find it slightly monotonous!
